My new fashion illustration experiment-Glitter !

After my trip to China, finally I can get back on track and start working on my fashion illustration after couple years of lacking practice. Pencil and watercolor always are my best friends, however I never stop looking new medium to add into my artwork. I like glitter since I was little, from my make-ups, shoes to bags. It makes me happy every time I wear them. So, why not spread the sparks into my art!!Last week I did couple illustrations using watercolor and pencil as well as mixed with glitter and nail polish! I had so much fun to illustrate, especially one of the illustration is an all time fashion legend- Audrey Hepburn! All the prints of those illustrations are available at my Etsy store now! Welcome to stop by check them out! https://www.etsy.com/shop/RongrongIllustration

My fashion illustrations photo series

I watched Midnight in Paris by Woody Allen on my flight to China. I was drawn by the beautiful scenes of Paris immediately. After I am back to United States, I did a series photo shoot for my fashion illustrations which was inspired by Midnight in Paris. I hope you enjoy!

Welcome to rongrong devoe fashion illustration world!

Thank you for visiting my website where I continue to chase my dream of becoming a World renowned fashion illustrator!
I grew up in a very beautiful sea city called Qingdao, on the east coast of China, where not a lot of fashion was happening during the 90's. At age 12 my mom bought me my first fashion magazine called ELLE Hong Kong. I was instantly drawn in by the beautiful clothes and amazing fashion photos. My favorite activity was pretending to do my homework while locking myself in my room in order to draw pictures from ELLE magazine over and over.
Apparently, my mom realized that her little girl had an aptitude for fashion and drawing so she made the decision to send me to art school.(Yeah, best mom ever!)
I moved to Shanghai at age 19 for college and majored in graphic design. Shanghai is much more modern and fashionable than Qingdao and I fell in love with it immediately. During my 6 years in Shanghai I learned as much as I could about fashion. After graduation I secured a job as a concept artist at an online gaming company. I designed and drew game characters everyday but I was missing something. I was not as excited at work as I was doodling fashion models at home. So I made my decision to come to the United States to study fashion illustration! Luckily I was accepted by one of the most reputable fashion schools in the World, the Fashion Institute of Technology!
I have to say the best decision I made in my life was moving to New York. At FIT, I was exposed to the fashion industry daily. I was taught by some of the top fashion illustrators in the World. I made friends with many artists, like me, who could not live without fashion and were inspired by the endless fashion events, galleries and shows in New York. After graduation I worked as a CAD designer for a couple major apparel companies in Manhattan. I was glad I had the opportunity to work in the fashion industry and gained more knowledge of the technical side of fashion design. However, my heart was telling me to never stop drawing and to never give up my dream. So here I am! Rongrong DeVoe Fashion Illustration has finally started! I am happier than ever to be able to work for myself and for my dream!
Thank you for stopping by and for your support!
